2. Reservations & Payments

All reservations are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of payment as specified at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change without notice prior to confirmation of your reservation.

By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and authorize us to charge the total amount for your reservation, including applicable taxes and fees.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. American River Raft Rentals reserves the right to cancel or reschedule trips due to unsafe river conditions, weather, low water levels, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, a full refund or rescheduling option will be offered.

4. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Rafting, kayaking, tubing, and all river activities involve inherent risks including but not limited to personal injury, drowning, and property damage. By participating in any activity with American River Raft Rentals, you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume full responsibility for your safety.

All participants are required to sign a liability waiver prior to participation. American River Raft Rentals, its employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in our activities, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. Safety Rules & Conduct

All participants must follow the safety instructions provided by our staff at all times. We reserve the right to refuse service or remove any participant who:

• Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Refuses to follow safety guidelines or staff instructions
• Engages in behavior that endangers themselves or others
• Does not meet minimum age, weight, or health requirements for specific equipment

No refund will be issued for removal due to violation of safety rules or conduct standards.

6. Equipment & Rentals

All rental equipment remains the property of American River Raft Rentals and must be returned in the same condition as received, normal wear excepted. You are responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of any equipment that is lost, stolen, or damaged due to misuse or negligence during your rental period.

7. SMS / Text Messaging Terms

By opting in to receive SMS/text messages from American River Raft Rentals, you agree to the following:

• Message Types: You may receive booking confirmations, reservation reminders, trip updates, weather and river condition alerts, promotional offers, and information about rafting services and events.
• Opt-Out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or OUT to any message. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
• Message & Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Please contact your carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
• Carrier Liability: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. American River Raft Rentals is not responsible for any delays, failures, or errors in message delivery.
• Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to opt in to receive SMS messages from American River Raft Rentals.
